‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Sketches Unveiled By Former Marvel Studios Artist

Former Marvel Studios Visual Development artist Charlie Wen shared sketches he drew for the announcement poster of the first Guardians of the Galaxy film.

When Marvel Studios announced that a Guardians of the Galaxy film was in development, the company unveiled a sketch at Comic-Con to offer fans a glimpse at their vision for the project. Now, Charlie Wen has shared the two sketches he was tasked with drawing for the announcement, the second of which was ultimately chosen:

“Since there was only the weekend to complete the image, I did these two options. Not enough time to spend on designing the characters here, but hopefully it did its job of conveying the tone and feel of the project that Marvel was about to dive into. “

You can check out the sketches in the post below!

James Gunn had previously finished his script for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which was set to begin production early next year. However, the project has reportedly been put on hold following the decision to remove Gunn as the director of the final chapter in the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, though Disney and Marvel Studios are said to be intent on using his script.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is expected to star Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, and Sean Gunn.
