‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’: Chris Pratt On Star-Lord’s Father/Son…

'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' star Chris Pratt discuses the father/son relationship between Star-Lord/Peter Quill and Baby Groot.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is almost upon us and audiences are eager to reunite with the team of unlikely heroes. Of course, capturing the hearts of many fans is Baby Groot, whose relationship with Star-Lord has change into a father/son dynamic. In an interview with the Toronto Sun, star Chris Pratt discussed how the relationship between Star-Lord and Groot will evolve as the film series moves forward.

Pratt discussed a moment in the film where Star-Lord begins to realize his relationship with Groot has changed.

“When (Groot) climbs up on Quill’s lap in the end and asks for the music and I’m listening to (Cat Stevens’ Father and Son) and I’m reflecting on the relationship I had with the man who raised me, it’s in that moment I realize that I’ve now entered a chapter in my life where I’m going to be the man who’s raising somebody. … I think that’s the sort of journey that every parent will take when they have a kid, and I think Quill gets to that at the end.”
