Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 director James Gunn took to Twitter to explain a little bit about how Yondu's signature weapon, the Yaka Arrow, works.
Taking to Twitter, Director James Gunn recently took a moment to explain a little bit about the workings of the Yaka Arrow, a concept Gunn himself created, as the Yondu of the comics was more in line with a traditional archer. Here’s what Gunn stated in a series of tweets:
Gunn’s tweets were originally in response to a video he shared that was released by Nerdist, an episode of Because Science w/ Kyle Hill, which scientifically breaks down how the weapon works.
When a fan attempted to point out that it was peculiar that the fins or headpieces are so common while the arrow is so rare, well, the always one-step-ahead-of-us Gunn had an answer for that as well:
