Karen Gillan appeared more than excited sharing her anticipation for the film.

Karen Gillan is calling Joker one of her “most anticipated films to see ever” and many fans are feeling the same way. Joker is a part of DC and Warner Bros. new take on comic book films with a more grounded story that is not interconnected as the DCEU films like Aquaman and Wonder Woman are. Karen Gillan will also be appearing in another very much anticipated film of the year Avengers: Endgame. Avengers: Endgame broke ticket sales records yesterday when ticket sales went live early in the morning. With films like Avengers: Endgame and Joker there is no doubt comic book films are here to stay for quite some time.

“Joker” centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. Phillips’ exploration of Arthur Fleck (Phoenix), a man disregarded by society, is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale.
Directed by Todd Phillips from a script he co-wrote with Scott Silver, Joker stars Joaquin Phoenix, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais, and Shea Whigham.
Joker will be released in theaters on October 4, 2019.
