‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’: Get A New Look At The Villainous Ayesha

Today we got our first glimpse at how Ayesha, the alleged villain in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, will look in the film. This came thanks to some promo images from Funko Pop! collectible figures, which just last week released a whole bunch of new images of toys related to the movie.

This was confirmed by James Gunn himself when he responded to Twitter User DUI who asked the director: ‘Who is she’ referring to the unnamed toy figure.

Ayesha is believed to be the main villain in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and will be played by Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby, The Man from U.N.C.L.E.). While she looks quite different from her comic counterpart, it at least gives us an broad idea of how she’ll look in the movie.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 also stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel voice for Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon, and David Bautista as Drax. Kurt Russell joins the cast as Star-Lord’s dad. It’s also directed by James Gunn, and is set to hit theaters May 5, 2017.
