Marvel Studios Boss Kevin Feige On ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3’ Status

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has offered an official update on the status of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

After far-right pundits brought offensive tweets that director James Gunn posted years ago back into the public sphere, Disney terminated their relationship with the filmmaker and removed him from the third Guardians of the Galaxy film. Approximately three months later, the project is still without a director and Kevin Feige has confirmed to Erick Weber that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is currently “on hold.”

James Gunn had previously finished his script for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which was set to begin production early next year. However, the project has been put on hold following the decision to remove Gunn as the director of the final chapter in the trilogy, though Disney and Marvel Studios are said to be intent on using his script.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is expected to star Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, and Sean Gunn.

Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest updates on the Marvel Studios film as it develops!
