Early ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Concept Art Imagines Nebula As A Sith Lord

Marvel Studios’ Andy Park has shared a piece of early Nebula concept art from the first Guardians of the Galaxy film and likens the look to a Sith Lord.

There have been many wonderful character arcs that we’ve witnessed so far in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After Avengers: Endgame, Nebula’s arc has become one of the best after her pivotal role in that film and the defeat of her father, Thanos. Of course, Nebula started out as a villain in the first Guardians of the Galaxy before becoming a part of that team and the Avengers.

Nebula is still a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy and is expected to appear with the team in Thor: Love and Thunder and Vol. 3. Marvel Studios director of visual development Andy Park decided to celebrate May the 4th by sharing a piece of early Nebula concept art, where he envisioned her as a Sith Lord. You can check out the awesome piece of concept art below.

While production on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was scheduled to begin early this year, the project was put on hold following Disney’s decision to remove James Gunn as the director of the final chapter in the trilogy. Now, Gunn will begin production on the third film after completing work on The Suicide Squad for Warner Bros. and DC, which he is currently editing from the safety from his home due to the ongoing crisis. Details on the third chapter of Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy are currently unknown, though the film will likely explore the ramifications of the universe-changing events in Avengers: Endgame.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is expected to star Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki and Sean Gunn.
