After Disney fired James Gunn from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, it was reported the company still intends to use the filmmaker’s script for the final chapter of the trilogy. Chris Pratt has now confirmed that while the project will move forward without James Gunn in the director’s chair, it will use his script and praised the screenplay:
“It’s off the chain. It’s so good. It’s so good.”
Chris Pratt also reflected on his feelings about wrapping up the trilogy without Gunn:
“Well, I love James. I’m loyal to James and I love him so much. And we’re gonna deliver the movie, we’re gonna give the fans what they deserve. And I think it’s in the nature of the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ to come together and get the job done. And that’s what we’ll do.”
