‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3’ Is Still Happening, Says Sean Gunn

James Gunn won’t be back to make Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 but his brother, Sean Gunn, assures fans that the movie is still happening.

Since James Gunn was fired by Disney, what’s going to happen to the Guardians of the Galaxy movies has been up in the air. Gunn himself was recently hired to write and direct the next Suicide Squad movie. It’s clear now that he won’t be returning the franchise. However, the cast of the film is still determined to make the movie. James Gunn’s brother Sean Gunn, who plays Kraglin in the films and also does motion capture for Rocket Raccoon, had a few words to say to the Associated Press about the project on the red carpet at Stan Lee’s tribute in Los Angeles.

“Well, my brother is doing Suicide Squad 2 right now, which I’m really excited about and I know he’s really excited about. I don’t know what’s going on beyond that. I mean, Guardians 3 is gonna get made. We’re gonna make that movie, and we’ll figure out what happens there, but you know, everything ends up having a way of working itself out I think.”

Even though many of his peers want him reinstated as director since his firing for controversial tweets from years ago, Gunn and Disney both seem to have moved on now. His script for the movie will  most likely still be used as he wrote it before he got fired.

Fans can expect to see the Guardians of the Galaxy in Avengers: Endgame.  Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Endgame is expected to star Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Paul Rudd, Jeremy Renner, Brie Larson, Josh Brolin, and Chris Pratt.

Avengers: Endgame is scheduled to be released in theaters on April 26, 2019.
