‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’ Has Another Hard To Find Easter Egg

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 writer/director James Gunn has confirmed that the Marvel sequel features another impossible to find Easter egg.

Ever since the first Guardians of the Galaxy film was released in 2014, writer/director James Gunn has been teasing an Easter egg that even now no one has been able to identify yet. Earlier this week, we learned that Gunn won’t even tell star Chris Pratt what it is.

During an interview with The Independent, Gunn spoke a bit about the elusive Easter egg. Here’s what he said:

“I am not going to [reveal anything], but people have gotten very close. So, I don’t think it will be very long until it comes out.”

When asked if there would be a similarly difficult to find Easter egg in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the outlet reports that he simply nodded coyly and said, “yes.”

Gunn also spoke about how involved he is with Avengers: Infinity War:

“I’m not totally letting go of the Guardians, I’m still hanging onto them a little as they go through [Infinity War]. I am with the guys, I’m talking to the Russo Brothers, I’m talking to the cast, I’m dealing with all sorts of stuff so we can have the characters remind try to themselves and they end up where they need to be for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.”

Here’s the official synopsis for the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel:

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

Directed by James Gunn, the film stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Kurt Russell, Sean Gunn, Elizabeth Debicki, Glenn Close, Michael Rosenbaum and Sylvester Stallone.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters May 5, 2017.
