Halle Berry In Talks To Join ‘Kingsman’ Sequel

Deadline is reporting that Academy Award Winning Actress Halle Berry is in talks to join FOX and Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman: The Secret Service Sequel. Halle Berry will sign on with a two picture deal and will play the head of the CIA. This lines up with previous reports of Eggsy and the Kingsman heading the the United States.

Halle Berry is no stranger to Comicbook films and her addition to the Kingsman sequel would bring her back into the FOX fold. Berry most recently starred in X-Men: Days of Future Past for FOX.

Kingsman: The Secret Service was very well received and gross 415 million globally for FOX. The Kingsman sequel is already lining up a stellar cast with Julianne Moore in the villain role and now Halle Berry signing on.  It was rumored that Colin Firth would return, but it seems those plans were scrapped.

What do you guys think of Halle Berry joining the highly anticipated sequel? I, for one, think it’s a welcomed casting and will be delighted to see Ms. Berry on screen. Sound off your thoughts in the comments section!

Matthew Vaughn and Jane Goldman penned the script. Vaughn will return to direct the untitled Kingsman sequel. Kingsman 2 brings back Taron Egerton as Eggsy and will hit theaters June 16th, 2017.
