New ‘Halloween’ TV Spot Features John Carpenter & Jamie Lee Curtis

A new Halloween TV spot for Cinemex features an introduction from original creator John Carpenter and the film’s star Jamie Lee Curtis.

Michael Myers is making a big return this year with the latest Halloween film. The pseudo-reboot is set to ignore every other film besides the original, effectively retconning the forty-year-old horror film franchise. Although John Carpenter is not returning to helm the film — David Gordon Green is set to direct — he will be contributing to the film’s score alongside Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies.

Curtis was last seen reprising her role as Laurie Strode in 2002’s Halloween: Resurrection which suffered extremely negative critical reviews. Nevertheless, it appears that critics are responding very positively to the latest pseudo-reboot claiming the film was able to return to the original’s roots.

Check out the spot below!

Are you ready to see Jamie Lee Curtis reprise her iconic role as Laurie Strode? Sound off with your thoughts and comments below!

“Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.”

The film stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, and Virginia Gardner, with Nick Castle reprising his role as Michael Myers alongside stuntman James Jude Courtney.

Halloween opens in theaters on October 19.
