Harley Quinn Expected In James Gunn’s ‘Suicide Squad’ After All

It looks like the upcoming Suicide Squad reboot from James Gunn may indeed star everybody’s favorite Joker-loving villainess in Harley Quinn (as portrayed in the movies by Margot Robbie)

You read that correctly. According to Forbes, Margot Robbie and her heinous Harley Quinn are expected to star in the James Gunn reboot of Suicide Squad after all. If you are confused, that is okay. Originally, the site reported that neither Margot Robbie or her Harley Quinn would be in the upcoming film. Forbes recently updated that same article with the exciting news:

“[UPDATE: I have learned from sources close to production that in fact, the information about Harley Quinn being absent from the new Suicide Squad movie is no longer up to date — she is indeed expected to appear in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad, which is expected to begin production later this year.]”

Harley Quinn has become somewhat of a fan favorite since her debut in the original Suicide Squad film. There is so much fevor around Margot Robbie in the role that the character was in line to headline a number of her own spin-offs. Though Warner Bros. and DC have recently shelved a number of those projects, we are still getting Harley Quinn and Margot Robbie in the upcoming Birds of Prey movie before we see her again in the James Gunn restart.
