Today, fans learned Disney+ is developing a Hawkeye limited series with Jeremy Renner attached to reprise his role as the skilled archer. According to Variety, the project is said to be an adventure series that will see Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton pass the Hawkeye mantle to Kate Bishop. In the comics, Kate Bishop is the third character and first woman to assume to the Hawkeye name.
The Hawkeye series is just one project Marvel Studios is developing for Disney Plus. Shows centered on Falcon and Winter Soldier, Vision and Scarlet Witch, and Loki are also in the works for the upcoming Disney+ streaming service.
Fans believed the official trailer for Avengers: Endgame hinted at Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye training Kate Bishop, though whether or not this speculation is correct remains to be seen.
The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”

Avengers: Endgame will be released in theaters on April 26, 2019.
