HBO’s ‘Watchmen’ Series Adds James Wolk In Recurring Role

Deadline reports James Wolk (Tell Me a Story) has joined the cast of HBO’s upcoming Watchmen series from Damon Lindelof.

Character details have not officially been revealed, however, according to the trade Wolk has landed a major recurring role as a junior senator from Oklahoma. The actor joins the cast which includes Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Adelaide Clemens, Andrew Howard, Tom Mison, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Sara Vickers, Dylan Schombing, Lily Rose Smith, and Adelynn Spoon.

HBO’s Watchmen hails from who serves as Lindelof executive producer on the series alongside Nicole Kassell, Tom Spezialy, Stephen Williams, Joseph Iberti. Lindelof has written the series with Kassell directing the pilot.

Based on characters from Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ limited comic series, Watchmen is produced by White Rabbit in association with Warner Bros. Television. Here’s the official logline:

Set in an alternate history where “superheroes” are treated as outlaws, WATCHMEN embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel while attempting to break new ground of its own.

Watchmen debuts in 2019 on HBO.
