‘Thor: Ragnarok’: Hela Battles Thor & Loki In New Concept Art

Oh, boy... Hit the jump to check out some pretty badass concept art from Thor: Ragnarok which showcases Hela going to battle with the God of Thunder!

One thing to know about Marvel’s next Thor movie, is that Taika Waititi is directing. Now, this means many, many things in the realm of filmmaking. One, Hollywood is not just looking at American/English directors to helm their big budget superhero films, and two, Taika Waititi is directing a goddamn Thor movie. Unknown to many, Waititi has produced some of the most enjoyable films of the 21st century, with What We Do In The Shadows and The Hunt For The Wilderpeople being among them. You may also know the director, as Hal Jordan’s friend in the 2011 DC Comics adaptation, Green Lantern… No? Don’t worry about.

In new concept art for the upcoming film, Thor: Ragnarok, we finally get a damn good look at the film’s new big bad, Hela, played by Oscar winning actress, Cate Blanchett. In addition to this, we also receive a brilliant look at Thor and Hulk going at it, in what appears to be a setting ripped straight from the Planet Hulk storyline. One can only assume Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster will be running the epic, gladiator tournament. You can check out the awesome concept art below:

Waititi revealed that the upcoming film will be “inspired” by buddy-films of the 1980s, so expect some damn fine humour, and unbelievable banter come November. So, what do you guys think? Are you excited to see the God of Thunder go up against his greatest challenge yet? What’s your theory? Who do you think will bite the dust? Be sure to comment below, and let us know!

In Marvel Studios’ Thor: Ragnarok, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization – at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – the Incredible Hulk!

Thor: Ragnarok hits theatres everywhere on November 3rd, 2017.
