The Flash returns next week for a third season on The CW and this new season will be adapting a famous DC Comics storyline. Following up from the season finale, Barry Allan has traveled back in time to save his mother from the Reverse-Flash creating an alternate timeline known as Flashpoint.
In an interview with Comicbook.com, John Wesley Shipp he gave some information on what Henry, Barry Allens father thought about the decision he made and the possible consequences that could follow.
“Henry would be very, very concerned,” Shipp said. “We already know, because he said to him from the jail cell when Barry said ‘I could undo all of this, I could go back and save mom,’ Henry told him, ‘No. You can’t. There are unintended consequences to things. Things happen, maybe not for a reason, but things happen the way they do and when you go back and you fool with something, you may be thinking you’re creating an idyllic present and future that you want, but it’s like a Pandora’s box: you have no idea what you’re opening.”
The Flash Season 3 begins on Tuesday, October 4 at 8/7c on The CW with the season three premiere, titled “Flashpoint”. Will Barry have the same conversation with Henry again after he has already made the mistake of creating a new timeline? Leave your comments down below!
