Henry Cavill’s Superman and Armie Hammer’s Batman unite with more heroes of the DC Extended Universe in an insane new image.
Armie Hammer and Henry Cavill shared the big screen in 2015’s The Man From U.N.C.L.E., one year before Henry Cavill returned to the role of Superman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Coincidentally, Armie Hammer was once set to play Batman in George Miller’s canceled movie, Justice League: Mortal. Thanks to a very talented artist, DC fans can see the duo don their respective Justice League costumes and team-up against Darkseid in an awesome new piece of fan art.
An incredibly talented DC fan by the name of Bryan Zap has taken to Instagram to reveal the image, which not only features Armie Hammer and Henry Cavill, but Zachary Levi’s Shazam, Tom Cruise as Hal Jordan, and some very familiar faces from the DCEU as well. Check out the impressive Justice League fan art in the post below.

Justice League hit theaters in 2017, starring many of the heroes pictured above except for Armie Hammer’s Batman, Charlie Hunnam’s Green Arrow, Tom Cruise’s Green Lantern, and Zachary Levi’s Shazam. Although he wasn’t featured in the Justice League movie, Zachary Levi’s Shazam! does openly take place in the same universe as the film.
Although Armie Hammer hasn’t been announced as the star of Matt Reeves’ upcoming Batman movie, he has remained a fan favorite choice for the role since the rumors of Ben Affleck’s departure first began. Although Armie Hammer and Henry Cavill were expected to star in sequels to The Man From U.N.C.L.E., the film’s poor box office results and critical reception resulted in Warner Bros. not moving forward with a follow-up.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Batman and Superman’s future on the big screen as soon as more information becomes available. The DCEU’s latest film, Shazam!, is in theaters now. Check out the synopsis for the film here:
Directed by David F. Sandberg, Shazam! stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans, and Djimon Hounsou.
We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).
Shazam! is playing in theaters today!
