Henry Cavill Is Reportedly Done Playing Superman For Warner Bros.

A new report suggests that Justice League and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star Henry Cavill has left the role of Superman for good.

For over a year, rumors have been flying all over the place about whether or not Ben Affleck would be returning to play DC’s Batman after 2017’s Justice League. Now, it turns out that another Justice League member may be jumping ship, following scheduling conflicts that kept him from appearing in Shazam! In a cameo role.

According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. and DC have decided to focus more on a Supergirl movie and set Cavill’s polarizing Superman to the wayside. It seems that Warner Bros. wasn’t keen on going forth with Cavill’s Superman given his mixed reception as the iconic hero thus far.

“There’s a recognition that some parts of the previous movies didn’t work.”

Although it seems that Cavill is out as Superman, fans can still look forward to returning characters such as Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman and Ezra Miller’s Flash in the future, as well as Jason Momoa’s Aquaman who will be headlining his own movie this December. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on this story as more information becomes available.
