‘Justice League’: Henry Cavill’s Superman Dons Black Suit In New Image

A new fan-made Justice League image shows Henry Cavill’s Superman with the iconic black suit.

After Henry Cavill’s Superman sacrificed himself to destroy Doomsday during the climax of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, fans were hoping the Man of Steel would return with his iconic black suit from the comics. Of course, this ultimately never happened in the theatrical cut of the film and the black costume made only a brief appearance in a deleted Justice League scene. However, a digital artist created a new photo that imagines what Henry Cavill’s Superman might have looked like in his classic black outfit.

Henry Cavill’s future as Superman is currently in question as Warner Bros. is reportedly planning to put the character aside for the time being. Instead, Henry Cavill will trade in his Superman costume for now and portray Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’s adaptation of The Witcher.

Based on the fantasy series of novels and short stories by Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher will follow the monster slayer for hire named Geralt of Rivia, played by Henry Cavill. Showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich will also serve as an executive producer on the series while Alik Sakharov, Alex Garcia Lopez and Charlotte Brandstrom are on board as directors for the eight-episode first season.

The Witcher stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Freya Allan as Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Jodhi May as Queen Calanthe, Bjorn Hlynur Haraldsson as Eist, Adam Levy as Mousesack, MyAnna Buring as Aretuza, and Millie Brady as Princess Renfri. Mimi Ndiweni and Therica Wilson-Read are also on board as novice sorcerers. The series will be available on Netflix later this year.

Justice League is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD.
