After 'Shazam!' star Zachary Levi posted a shirtless picture on Instagram to show off his superhero body, Superman himself swooped in to compliment him.
Zachary Levi, star of the upcoming Shazam!, recently shared a photo on Instagram showing off his new muscles for the role. The photo caught the attention of Superman himself, Henry Cavill, who recently made a cameo in one of Levi’s live streams. Here’s what Cavill had to say about Levi’s progress, from his body to his “nowhere stare.”
Say what you will about the DCEU but these actors seem to be loving every minute of it. They exude that that you see from the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe which creates those sparks of chemistry that come flying off the screen. Let’s hope that the DCEU really kicks it into high gear with Aquaman and Shazam! so we can see more interactions between these incredibly talented casts.

“We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).”
Directed by David F. Sandberg, Shazam! stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Grace Fulton, Jack Dylan Grazer, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand and Mark Strong as Doctor Sivana.
Shazam! is scheduled to be released in theaters on April 5, 2019.
