Superman Actor Henry Cavill Takes Part In Durrell Challenge To Raise Funds For Wildlife Conservation Trust

Superman actor Henry Cavill took part in the Durrell Challenge this weekend to raise funds for Wildlife Conservation Trust and fulfilled his prior promise to the race.

The Durrell Challenge was being promoted by Superman actor Henry Cavill some weeks ago. It’s a 13k road race held in Jersey, Channel Islands to raise funds for the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust. The Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust aims to further preserve and study endangered flora and fauna all around the world. This particular road race was set to raise funds for its altruist efforts to preserve wildlife.

Henry Cavill participated in promoting this road race while filming Netflix’s The Witcher. Here you can see a photo of Henry Cavill, still in form and holding the Superman physique, with some of his brothers participating in the race:

Along with Jason Momoa and Gal Gadot, Henry Cavill is an actor that has truly stepped it up for the DCEU. Their version of Aquaman, Wonder Woman and Superman have slowly, but surely, stood out. It’s safe to say that fans want more films with Henry Cavill attached to the Superman role. Henry Cavill made a great version of Superman that more DCEU films can build expand on and tell more great stories with. It would be great to see Henry Cavill interact with DCEU newcomers like the new Matt Reeves Batman and the new Green Lantern Corps.

Do you think we’ll get to see more Superman films from Henry Cavill? Sound off in the comment section down below!

Following Shazam! which is now playing, the DCEU continues on with Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) on February 7, 2020, and Wonder Woman 1984 on June 5, 2020. A standalone Joker film set outside of the DC Films universe starring Joaquin Phoenix as the Clown Prince of Crime is also set to hit theaters October 4, 2019.

Although the next Superman film hasn’t been announced or slated yet, or if Henry Cavill will reprise his role, Supergirl is one of the many projects being developed over at Warner Bros. and DC. The studio has tasked Oren Uziel to pen the script. Superman did make a cameo on Shazam! but unfortunately, we couldn’t see Henry Cavill’s face.

Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on Henry Cavill and the future of the current DC cinematic universe as we learn it.
