If you can remember, one of the last scenes of the Justice League film teased that Lex Luthor and Deathstroke, played by Joe Manganiello, would team up to defeat the superheroes and even teased that the Legion of Doom would have been featured in the DCEU. Alas, even though actors like Gal Gadot and Jason Momoa are still very much involved with Wonder Woman and Aquaman, Ben Affleck’s exit as Batman has the DCEU up in the air, while Henry Cavill’s future as Superman also remains uncertain.
Nonetheless, artists always come up with amazing fan art depicts how some of our wildest dreams may look like in films. This time, an image featuring the Henry Cavill’s Superman and Justice League and what seems to be a hologram projection of Deathstroke gives us a teaser of what that meeting may look like should we ever get another Justice League film:
Deathstroke was gearing up to be one of the most menacing foes of Superman and company in future DCEU films. But more than that, we got a huge tease involving the Legion of Doom in that final Justice League scene. Even Black Manta was introduced in Aquaman and the film set him up for revenge against Arthur Curry. It’s awesome to imagine those three coming up with diabolical plans to take out every single Justice League member including Henry Cavill’s Superman. We can only hope that Warner Bros. and DC can deliver that someday.
