Henry Cavill’s Superman Dons Max Fleischer-Inspired Suit In Cool Fan Art

Henry Cavill's Superman gets an old-fashioned update!

Henry Cavill’s Superman dons a suit inspired by the 1940s Max Fleischer in a stunning new fan edit.

The first ever animated appearance of Superman occurred all the way back in the 1940s with the cartoons from Max Fleischer. These Superman cartoons would go on to have a long-lasting legacy and heavily influenced future DC Comics animated projects like Batman: The Animated Series. Since then, Superman has also had several cinematic interpretations with Henry Cavill’s version being the most recent.

The Superman suits that Henry Cavill has worn as the Last Son of Krypton feature a darker hue of the iconic blue and red color scheme, no underwear, and a slight change to the iconic “S” symbol on the chest. If Cavill returns as Superman in the DC Extended Universe, he could be given another costume makeover. A new concept design from digital artist “jscomicart” on Instagram imagines Cavill’s Superman wearing a suit based on the iconic Max Fleischer cartoons. You can check out the artwork below.

What do you think of the artwork? Would you like to see Henry Cavill’s Superman wear a suit similar to this in his next appearance? Sound-off in the comments section below!

Henry Cavill’s Superman will next be seen in Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut on HBO Max. Here’s the official synopsis for the movie:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut will arrive on HBO Max in 2021. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the DC Extended Universe and subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more video content!
