Richard Madden Dons ‘Superman: Godfall’ Suit To Replace Henry Cavill In New Image

A digital artist has created a cool image depicting Game of Thrones alum Richard Madden in the Superman: Godfall outfit to replace Henry Cavill.

As Henry Cavill’s future as Superman remains unresolved, yet another piece imagining a potential successor in the role has been unveiled, this time featuring Richard Madden, who’s best known for his work on HBO’s Game of Thrones and the BBC series Bodyguard. The latest piece, created by digital artist Evan Pennock, features Richard Madden in the outfit from the 2000s comic book arc Superman: Godfall.

The Superman: Godfall comic arc centered on the Man of Steel’s adventures in the bottle city of Kandor. In this story, an amnesiac Superman finds himself living in Kandor with his wife Lyla and dons the outfit depicted in the fan art below.

Unfortunately, Henry Cavill’s future as Superman is currently in question, with Warner Bros. reportedly planning to put the character aside for the time being. Instead, Henry Cavill will soon trade in his Superman suit for the lead role in Netflix’s adaptation of The Witcher. Based on the fantasy series of novels and short stories by Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher will follow Henry Cavill as the monster slayer for hire named Geralt of Rivia.
