What Superman Actor Henry Cavill Looks Like As Shazam Instead Of Zachary Levi

New fan art has transformed Superman actor Henry Cavill into the DCEU’s Shazam which is being played by Zachary Levi in the upcoming film.

While Henry Cavill is regarded as one of the most popular actors to take on the role of Superman on the silver screen, new fan art images the actor as the magical hero in a suit similar to the costume worn by Zachary Levi in the new standalone.

While Henry Cavill won’t be making an appearance in Shazam! as the Superman actor dropped out of negotiations to reprise his role for a cameo in the film, plenty of easter eggs are expected thanks to set photos as well as an homage to 2013’s Man of Steel seen in the most recent TV spot.

“We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).”

Shazam! will be released in theaters on April 5, 2019, and will be followed by Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) on February 7, 2020, and Wonder Woman 1984 on June 5, 2020. A standalone Joker film set outside of the DC Films universe starring Joaquin Phoenix as the Clown Prince of Crime is also set to hit theaters October 4, 2019.
