Digital artists all around the world keep bringing our wildest superhero dreams to life; especially the ones involving the recent cinematic universes from DC and Marvel. This time around, we bring you a fan poster for Shazam! that includes Zachary Levi’s Shazam but also Henry Cavill’s Superman. There’s been a long-standing rumor that Henry Cavill’s Superman will appear as a cameo in Zachary Levi’s Shazam! which makes this poster a great look at how they’ll look in the film: Check it out:
The rumor involving Henry Cavill’s Superman presence in Zachary Levi’s Shazam! got a new twist. Allegedly we will see Henry Cavill’s Superman but we won’t be able to see his face. Henry Cavill isn’t contractually obligated to appear in other DCEU related films as he reportedly walked away from negotiations to cameo in Shazam! with Zachary Levi due to scheduling conflicts. Henry Cavill’s Superman would make a great tutor for Zachary Levi’s Shazam due to the fact that Billy Batson’s only a kid with superpowers and Clark Kent’s been around to face several enemies like General Zod, Lex Luthor, Doomsday, and even Batman.
As you may know, Henry Cavill’s been very busy filming Justice League, Mission: Impossible and Netflix’s The Witcher for the past few years, so he probably didn’t have the time to make an appearance in Zachary Levi’s Shazam!. Although the rumor now points out that this wasn’t a problem for DC and Warner Bros. and that Henry Cavill’s Superman will indeed meet Zachary Levi’s Shazam soon.
Are you hoping to see Henry Cavill’s Superman meet Zachary Levi’s Shazam? How would that meeting look? Sound off in the comment section down below!
Although the next Superman film hasn’t been announced or slated yet, or if Henry Cavill will reprise his role, Supergirl is one of the many projects being developed over at Warner Bros. and DC. The studio has tasked Oren Uziel to pen the script. Meanwhile, Superman is still rumored to cameo in Zachary Levi’s Shazam!, but it’s unclear if we’ll see Henry Cavill. Here is the synopsis for DC’s next film:
We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Asher Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Zachary Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Mark Strong).
Directed by David F. Sandberg, DC Shazam! stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans, and Ron Cephas.
Zachary Levi’s Shazam! will be released in theaters on April 5, 2019.
