Game of Thrones is coming to an end this summer, but another huge fantasy series is coming from Netflix very soon. The Witcher, starring Henry Cavill in the lead role, will bring to life the book series that inspired the hit video game franchise. If a new report is true, then a Netflix veteran has joined Henry Cavill’s The Witcher.
According to a new report from Redanian Intelligence, Daredevil and The Punisher directer Marc Jobst has joined the crew of Netflix’s upcoming fantasy series. Aside from their sources, Evidence from the Daredevil director’s social media hints that he could be helming the series finale, according to Redanian Intelligence. Marc Jobst has also worked on Marvel series aside from Daredevil and The Punisher, including Luke Cage and Runaways.
Unfortunately, both The Punisher and Daredevil were among the Marvel Netflix series that were cancelled earlier this year. Although Daredevil has come to an end, it seems that Marc Jobst may have found a new home with Henry Cavill’s The Witcher.
Henry Cavill is set to play the lead role of Geralt in Netflix’s The Witcher. The iconic character originated in Andrzej Sapkowski’s famous book series of the same name, which spans across eight novels.
Henry Cavill’s upcoming Netflix series will not only be following in the steps of the famous book series but a famous trilogy of video games as well. Fans have wondered for months what this new series means for Henry Cavill’s future as Superman, a future which remains uncertain. The last appearance by Henry Cavill’s Superman on the big screen was in 2017’s Justice League and no return has been officially announced since.
Marc Jobst has yet to confirm that he’ll have any part in Henry Cavill’s The Witcher.
