The news arrived on the show's Twitter account in the form of a brilliant poem from Geralt's Bard, Jaskier.
Like many other projects, work on Netflix’s The Witcher season two was disrupted by the coronavirus earlier this year, but the show’s Twitter account recently announced when work will officially begin. Most recently showrunner Lauren Hissrich teased fans with the arrival of more Witchers as the second season will explore Geralt’s history. Hopefully we’ll learn a little more about what’s to come when production restarts on the Henry Cavill series.
The Witcher‘s Twitter account brilliantly announced the production start date in the style of Geralt’s bard, Jaskier. After the poem jokingly called Joey Batey’s Jaskier “flawless”, it announced that work will begin again on August 17. The second season will include a number of new additions to the cast including Kim Bodnia as Geralt’s mentor Vesemir. Take a look at the announcement below.
