Like many of you, I'm very excited for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The first film took many by surprise, and I hope the sequel only improves upon what was established in the first. Gunn has repeatedly said that he's more proud of this film, and now Pratt is echoing his statements by regaling of how epic this film will be. With Mantis and Ego showing up, Nebula and Yondu joining the team, and the promise of a better villain, one can only be excited. Read the full story HERE! Westworld Already Has Its Next Five Seasons Planned Out! For the show both HBO and I hope to be the next Game of Thrones, I'm glad to hear the showrunners have an idea of the future. What makes Game of Thrones work is that George R. R. Martin knew where he was going to end, and events that would occur many books later when he finished his first novel. So for Westworld to even attempt to match the success of one of HBO's biggest shows, they need to be able to build a world just as detailed. Having planned out the next five seasons reassures me that this show will be going places, and I truly hope it will. Read the full story HERE! Black Lightning Is Officially Coming To TV! After last week where we heard a Black Lightning show was being developed, FOX immediately picks it up for their network. A pilot has been greenlit meaning the series is definitely moving forward in some capacity which is great to hear. Hopefully the pilot is good enough to get picked up and FOX doesn't skimp on the show's budget. With the synopsis of the show, it also looks like we'll be getting an older version of the character so hopefully we can stay away from some of the poorly written teen drama that plagues the CW shows. Read the full story HERE! The Solo Batman Movie's Deathstroke Has Been Found! Another follow up to last week's big news-- Deathstroke has been cast. Joe Manganiello will officially be our Deathstroke in the DCEU, and has been confirmed as the one in the test footage that Ben Affleck released. I feel Manganiello has the look down, and can't wait for his interpretation of the character. We already have a pretty good idea for his costume, and that looks incredible, so I hope the character follows suit. Read the full story HERE! Sometimes, you have to go the extra mile to see your dreams come true. That's exactly what Big Hero 6 star Ryan Potter (Hiro Hamada) did when he made a special video for actor/director Ben Affleck. Affleck is reprising his role of Batman in a solo film that he'll also be directing, and Ryan Potter wants to be his trusty sidekick. The 'Flash' Movie Has Found Barry Allen's Father! Billy Crudup portrayed Dr. Manhattan in the superhero film Watchmen. Now it looks like he'll be in another superhero film, but he won't exactly be suiting up to save the day. Crudup will be portraying Henry Allen, the father of the Flash himself! Anne Hathaway portrayed Selina Kyle, a.k.a Catwoman, in The Dark Knight Rises, and she's been very vocal about how much she loved it. Unfortunately, TDKR was the last in the trilogy, meaning she wasn't called back to portray the character again. With the DCEU in motion, Hathaway is hoping that there's room for her Catwoman somewhere in the cinematic universe. Read the full story HERE! Booster Gold Isn't Part Of The DCEU! If you're like me, you were beyond excited to hear that a Booster Gold movie was being made. I couldn't wait to see the character interact with Batman, Superman and others in the same way he does in the comics! Unfortunately, producer Greg Berlanti has just revealed some pretty sad news- it looks like the Booster Gold film won't be connected the DCEU at all. I'm sincerely hoping WB and DC change their minds on this, it'd be a shame to keep Booster locked away from the other DC superheroes. Read the full story HERE! From Flash to Arrow, let's take a look at this week's greatest stories to come out of the DC television universe! 'Flash' When Flash returns for its third season this October, things are going to be very different. Like his comic book counterpart, Barry Allen has messed with the timeline, changing certain events and altering his life and the lives of pretty much everyone else in the DCTV universe. You can read about how this 'Flashpoint' event is going to permanently change some things forever HERE! Speaking of 'Flashpoint' and its time-altering implications, check out what's going on with Cisco in season 3 HERE! Most fans are extremely excited to see 'Flashpoint' come to the small screen. One of those fans is Kevin Smith, who managed to see the first two episodes of Flash Season 3 while preparing to direct the seventh episode. When Deathstroke was announced to be in the upcoming solo Batman film, some fans took that as meaning that Manu Bennet won't be returning to Arrow to play the TV version of Deathstroke.
