Honest Trailer For ‘Warcraft’ Released

Game over for Warcraft! The guys over at Screen Junkies are back with yet another instalment in their Honest Trailer series, and this time it’s for the game-turned-movie. The movie focuses on a war of first encounters between humans and orcs, taking place in a range of recognisable locations that were established in the game. Looking to escape from his dying world, the orc shaman Gul’dan utilizes dark magic to open a portal to the human realm of Azeroth. As the two races collide, leaders from each side start to question if war is the only answer.

Watch the Honest Trailer for Warcraft below.

Though the movie was met with plenty of negative reviews from critics and fans alike, the movie grossed over $433 million worldwide. This was still considered a financial disappointment though, joining the ranks of pretty much every other game adaptation that’s hit the big screen. The next movie to have origins from the world of gaming is the upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie starring Michael Fassbender, which has a release date of December 21st, 2016. Will this break the game-to-movie curse?

Warcraft was released on June 10th 2016, and comes out on DVD and Blu-Ray on October 10th, 2016.
