If you thought that Ryan Reynolds was the only one hoping and pleading for Hugh Jackman to let the claws loose once again for one last ride, then think again. Hugh Jackman’s run as Wolverine ended on the highest note possible with Logan. Well, technically the lowest note possible since that film ended with him dead and buried six feet under. However, with the upcoming reality that will be Fox’s Marvel characters of X-Men and the Fantastic Four coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans have often theorized that they could pop up in Avengers: Endgame.
The logistics of that aside, Google can now be added to the list of culprits that have fans thinking that you’ll see Wolverine and his merry band of mutants in Avengers: Endgame. Apparently if you Google “famous Hugh Jackman movies,” then Avengers: Endgame will be one of those titles. Not that, were Jackman to appear, that he’d be playing Wolverine, mind you. This wouldn’t be the first time that the internet has played some tricks on fans. Remember when Metacritic had Curt Clendenin listed as playing the Silver Surfer in Infinity War? Didn’t pan out, did it?
Nonetheless, that one snafu on Google’s part was enough to get fans buzzing, as you can see:
Right now, take this with a massive grain of adamantium salt, but it’s more than likely that Google just goofed here. But it’s enough to get fans talking, that’s for sure. However, it would be noteworthy and a bit hilarious if Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine showed up in Avengers: Endgame and not in Drew Goddard’s X-Force film, as Ryan Reynolds would like to happen.
Still, though, what do you think about Google’s latest update on Hugh Jackman’s supposed next comic book role? You think there’s any possible validity to this? Or just a screw up on Google’s part? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
Avengers: Endgame will be released in theaters on April 26, 2019. Logan is available now on Digital HD, 4K, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
