Hugh Jackman has revealed the official Empire Magazine cover for Logan!
There’s little doubt that the Wolverine we’re seeing here is the haggard ‘Old Man Logan’, a version of the prickly superhero that many fans have long desired to view on the big screen. Judging from footage that’s been released and early reactions from critics, this iteration of the character may be the best yet – a bittersweet reception, surely, as Logan has been cited many times by the actor himself as being his final outing as Wolverine. It’s certainly going to be hard visualising the X-Men without him.
“In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.”
Logan is directed by James Mangold, and was co-written by Mangold, Scott Frank and Michael Green. It stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Dafne Keen, Boyd Holbrook and Stephen Merchant. It is scheduled to be released in the US on March 3rd.
