Hugh Jackman Shares Hilarious Photo With Ryan Reynolds & Jake Gyllenhaal

Ryan Reynolds recently took to Instagram to share a festive picture of himself sadly sandwiched between an amused Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal. The duo had apparently tricked the Deadpool star into wearing a hilariously overstated red and green Christmas sweater that resembles a wrapped gift, complete with a big, poofy bow. Reynolds captioned the post:

“These f****** a******* said it was a sweater party.”

Later that day, Jackman posted the same picture, but with a hilarious twist. The three actors had been hilariously photoshopped to look like their popular comic book counterparts: Jackman as Wolverine (complete with Adamantium claws), Reynolds as Deadpool (clasping with candy canes), and Gyllenhaal as the Spider-Man villain Mysterio (fishbowl helmet included). Created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko in 1964, Mysterio first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #13 and has since become a staple in the Web Head’s rogue gallery. The best-known incarnation of the character is a disgruntled special effects artist named Quentin Beck. Jake Gyllenhaal will portray the formidable Spider-Man foe in the upcoming sequel Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Full details on the plot of Spider-Man: Far From Home are currently under wraps, though the film will follow Peter Parker as he joins his friends on a summer vacation in Europe.
