Hugh Jackman Teases ‘Wolverine 3’ News Soon

It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about James Mangold’s Wolverine 3, but it looks like that’s about to change. The movie will arrive in theaters in about six months, but we’ve yet to learn its official title (for now, it’s rumored to be titled Wolverine: Weapon X). We also haven’t seen a poster or a teaser trailer, which is just as odd.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Hugh Jackman revealed that we should expect to see some Wolverine 3 related news within the next week or so. However, the actor wouldn’t discuss too details about the upcoming movie:

“We’ve finished shooting. I just saw Jim Mangold today. He’s editing away and finishing that. There’s going to be some stuff coming out in the next week or so. That’s all I’ll say. I’m not good. I’m the kind of person who tells everybody everything. Basically it’s going to be different. Very different in tone and hopefully to anything we’ve done.”

Back in August, Mangold promised that we would soon be seeing footage from the upcoming movie, so Jackman could very well be talking about the first official teaser or full-length trailer here. Either way, we’ll keep you updated.

Jackman’s final outing as the mutant has been shrouded in secrecy, but we do know that it will feature Mister Sinister’s big screen debut. The R-rated movie will also likely mark Patrick Stewart’s final appearance as Charles Xavier, a.k.a. Professor X.

Wolverine 3 hits theaters on March 3, 2016. The film will also star Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Stephen Merchant, Eriq La Salle and Elise Neal.
