‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Concept Art Features A Comic-Accurate Design For Hulk

A more comic book-accurate look for Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk has been revealed in a new piece of Thor: Ragnarok concept art shared by Marvel Studios’ Ryan Meinerding.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has seen its characters undergo many makeovers over the course of the Infinity Saga, especially those who have been in it since the beginning. The Hulk is one character who has had several transformations in more ways than one. Perhaps the most dramatic change was seeing Hulk becoming Smart Hulk in Avengers: Endgame, but we did get an awesome design change beforehand in Thor: Ragnarok.

Of course, Thor: Ragnarok pulls a lot of elements from Greg Pak’s Planet Hulk like Sakaar and Korg. In Thor: Ragnarok, Hulk sports a gladiator helmet while his armor still resembles his look in Planet Hulk. Marvel Studios head of visual development Ryan Meinerding has shared a Hulk design on his Instagram that is even more accurate to the influential comic book series. You can check out the concept art pieces below.

Do you prefer this Hulk look more to the one we eventually got in Thor: Ragnarok? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below!

Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk was last seen in Avengers: Endgame. Here is the official synopsis for the movie:

The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, Avengers: Endgame.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.

Avengers: Endgame is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk and the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
