As Game of Thrones is coming to an end, fans are both delighted and saddened. We will be getting to finally see the conclusion of the epic story which
Iain Glen, the actor who plays Ser Jorah Mormont, says the cast and crew are doing everything they can to make the 7-episode seasons as extraordinary as possible.
“They are taking the length of time it takes to shoot ten episodes to shoot just seven this year and six next year. I think the scale and size of the set pieces, the world that is being created it’s just getting more and more extraordinary and they feel they need that time to shoot seven hours as opposed to ten. This season you feel that the drama is moving towards its end game, more characters are overlapping so we are seeing a lot more of each other, than perhaps in the past. In the same scenes and we are going to the same places.”
A lot of excitement can arise from Glen’s words here, and I myself can’t wait for the epic nature of the remaining seasons. With a shorter episode count, the budget can be expanded per episode resulting in greater spectacle as Glen stated. Let’s just hope the increased visual spectacle lines up with better quality as Game of Thrones has done prior.
