‘The Suicide Squad’ Star Idris Elba Making A Collage About Coping With The Coronavirus Pandemic

The Suicide Squad star Idris Elba is calling on fans to submit photos or videos for a collage he plans to make about coping with the coronavirus pandemic.

Last month, Idris Elba announced that he tested positive for the coronavirus in a post on his official Twitter account. Since then, The Suicide Squad star has offered updates on his condition through social media and encouraged fans to try to remain positive during these stressful times.

Now, Idris Elba is calling on fans to submit photos or videos for an inspirational collage he will put together on how people are coping with the coronavirus pandemic. In a post on his official Twitter account, The Suicide Squad star revealed the collage will be set to a song by Emanuel titled “Need You” and provided an email address where fans can send their submissions:

I want to document how people are coping, who they are coping with and what they absolutely NEED right now. Please send your entry to idrisneedsyou@gmail.com or #Needyou2020 across all platforms. WE ALL NEED HOPE RIGHT NOW.”

The first Suicide Squad followed a team of supervillains who were recruited by the government for a dangerous black ops mission in exchange for reduced sentences. The ensemble cast included Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Jared Leto as The Joker. However, James Gunn is expected to deliver on the fresh take on the Suicide Squad in his upcoming movie.

The Suicide Squad will be released in theaters on August 6, 2021.
