Incredible art has Idris Elba transform into Deadshot after reports last week that the actor will replace Will Smith in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad.

Idris Elba has been favored by fans for many roles over the years like James Bond and John Stewart. Idris Elba played a small role in the MCU as Heimdall, but his character died in Avengers: Infinity War at the hands of the Mad Titan Thanos (Josh Brolin).

Reports from last week revealed that Idris Elba seems to be taking over the Deadshot role from Will Smith for James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad. The impressive new fan art shows Idris Elba as Deadshot in Will Smith’s Suicide Squad costume and you can take a look at how great it looks below:

The first Suicide Squad followed a team of supervillains who were recruited by the government for a dangerous black ops mission in exchange for reduced sentences. The ensemble cast included Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Jared Leto as The Joker. It earned mixed reviews but became a massive hit for Warner Bros. with a worldwide gross of $746.8 million.

The Suicide Squad is one of many projects currently being developed by Warner Bros. and DC. The list also includes The Batman, The Flash, Green Lantern Corps, Birds of Prey, Black Adam, Nightwing, Supergirl and New Gods.
