Rebecca Ferguson will be returning as Ilsa Faust in 'Mission: Impossible 6' and recently spoke about the character, stunts, and filming locations.
With news about the next Mission: Impossible ramping up and Superman himself, Henry Cavill, joining the film, it was only a matter of time before we heard whether or not Ilsa would be back. Speaking with CinemaBlend while doing some press for Life, Ferguson revealed that Ilsa will in fact be back for the next Mission: Impossible flick, and Ferguson is excited about returning to the character.
“I miss her. I think she is such an incredible, strong, independent, vulnerable human being, and I miss the stunt… I’m doing stunt work right now, so I’m not missing it. I’m on break for a minute. But it’s lovely going into it not knowing what the big sequences are going to be. Because they don’t really present it all at once, and then you train for it. You train in martial arts, and you learn the technique, and then you break it up, and from that comes movement. I’m going to New Zealand and Paris!”
Beyond her excitement and preparing for stunt work, Ferguson also reveals here that the film will be shooting in both New Zealand and Paris, suggesting we can look forward to some more location-based explosive set pieces like the destruction of the Kremlin and the Burj Khalifa climb from past entries.
Production for Mission: Impossible 6 ramps up here in April and the film is currently slated to hit theaters on July 27, 2018.
