Disney has revealed that Jonathan Banks and Sophia Bush have joined the cast of Pixar's 'The Incredibles' and unveiled new character details.
Pixar’s The Incredibles 2 will arrive in theaters this summer and Disney has revealed new additions to the cast of characters who will join the Parr family on their latest adventure. Newcomers include Jonathan Banks as Rick Dicker, the head of the Super Relocation Program who helps the Parr family keep their secret identities. Sophia Bush also joins the cast as a young Elastigirl fan named Voyd, who has the ability to make objects appear and disappear by creating voids.
Disney also revealed new information on the characters played by previously announced cast members Bob Odenkirk and Catherine Keener. Both actors will be playing siblings named Winston and Evelyn Deavor, respectively, who lead a telecommunications company together. Winston is described as a superhero fan who wants to bring them out of hiding by changing the public’s perception of costumed heroes and Evelyn is described as a tech genius who has yet to meet a problem she could not solve.
Italian actress Isabella Rossellini has also joined the cast as an Ambassador.
Full details on the plot for The Incredibles 2 are under wraps, though the film is said to center on Elastigirl’s own adventure while Bob stays at home to watch over Jack-Jack and will pick up immediately after the first film as the Parr family faces off against the supervillain named Underminer.
Directed by Brad Bird, The Incredibles 2 also stars Holly Hunter, Craig T. Nelson, Sarah Vowell, Samuel L. Jackson, and Huck Milner as the new voice of Dash.
The Incredibles 2 will be released in theaters on June 15, 2018.
