Injustice Society Members Cast In DC Universe’s ‘Stargirl’

Injustice Society members Tigress, Sportsmaster, and Dragon King have all been cast in DC Universe’s upcoming Stargirl series.

According to Deadline, Joy Osmanski is set to portray Tigress in the upcoming series. Osmanski is best known for her roles in Netflix’s Santa Clarita Diet and Freeform’s The Fosters. Neil Hopkins will play Lawrence “Crusher” Crock, a.k.a. Sportsmaster. Hopkins has appeared on El Rey Network’s Matador and ABC’s Lost. The final Injustice Society member cast is Nelson Lee as Dragon King. Lee will be in Disney’s upcoming Mulan live-action remake and worked with showrunner Geoff Johns on Blade: The Series.

High school sophomore Courtney Whitmore who inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past. This new DC Universe series reimagines Stargirl and the very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America, in a fun, exciting and unpredictable series premiering in 2019, produced by Warner Bros. Television, Mad Ghost Productions and Berlanti Productions.

Stargirl stars Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitemore and Joel McHale as Starman with Anjelika Washington, Yvette Monreal, and Christopher James in undisclosed roles. Geoff Johns will write and executive produce the 13-episode first season of Stargirl. Sarah Schechter and Arrowverse boss Greg Berlanti will also serve as executive producers on the series.

Stargirl is scheduled to debut on DC Universe in August 2019.
