Production is currently underway in New York City for the upcoming show before its 2017 release, with Scott Buck (Dexter, Six Feet Under) serving as showrunner. It follows Daniel as an orphaned young man who is adopted by the people of the lost mystical city of K’un-Lun and taught a magical fighting style — which he uses when he returns to NYC and fights crime. Also rounding out the cast are Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum, Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum and David Wenham as Harold Meachum. Shang-Chi is also rumored to be in the series, but this hasn’t been officially confirmed by either Netflix or Marvel.
This is only the beginning. Expect more to come very, very soon. In the meantime, however, Luke Cage is set to hit the site on September 30th, while on the big screen, Captain America: Civil War finally works its way into theaters this Thursday.
