‘Iron Fist’: Finn Jones Defends Show Against Negative Reviews

The first six episodes of Iron Fist were released for critics to watch. Suffice it to say that the first reviews haven’t exactly been kind to the latest Marvel Netflix series. Many have called it not only incapable of handling diversity problems, but that the story itself is boring and Finn Jones’ performance flat.

Jones recently spoke with Metro about how, at the end of the day, it isn’t about the critics, but that the show is made with the fans in mind. Way to keep a positive attitude? I guess we’ll have to wait until later this week to see what the fans truly have to say about the series.

You can read what Jones had to say below.

Well I think there’s multiple factors. What I will say is these shows are not made for critics, they are first and foremost made for the fans. I also think some of the reviews we saw were seeing the show through a very specific lens, and I think when the fans of the Marvel Netflix world and fans of the comic books view the show through the lens of just wanting to enjoy a superhero show, then they will really enjoy what they see. I think it’s a fantastic show which is really fun and I think it stands up there with the other Defenders’ shows without a doubt.

Iron Fist will debut on Netflix on March 17.
