Marvel’s Black Panther has become a huge success with fans and critics around the world after its amazing portrayal of the titular character and his story. The film has recently made history by becoming the first superhero film to have received a Best Picture nomination at the Oscars. The character debuted in Captain America: Civil War and since then, he has garnered more fans and praise. Now, Jack Kirby’s grandson has shared a look at the artist’s first sketch of the character. The sketch is much more different than what film audiences may be familiar to, but it is an incredible art piece of Black Panther. Jack Kirby’s grandson explains how the artist wanted to make a small contribution to equality and give comic book readers a hero that looked like them. Now, many fans around the world today can feel the same with a live-action portrayal of the character among other iconic superheroes like Captain America and Iron Man.
