In 2009, he portrayed Rorschach in the Zack Snyder directed film Watchmen and has been in a numerous amount of films since. He also portrayed Freddie Krueger in the 2010 reboot A Nightmare on Elm Street, which could bring a dark, haunting style to the Joker.
