Jake Lacy & Breanne Hill Join The Cast Of ‘Rampage’

Jake Lacy (Girls) and Breanne Hill (San Andreas) have signed on for New Line’s adaptation of the retro arcade game Rampage starring Dwayne Johnson.

Jake Lacy and Breanne Hill have officially signed on for New Line’s adaptation of the retro arcade game Rampage starring Dwayne Johnson, Variety reports. The project reunites actress Hill with San Andreas director Brad Peyton.

Lacy is best known for his role in HBO’s Girls. The actor will next be seen in the exec produced drama from Jim Carrey “I’m Dying Up Here” on Showtime. Lacy is currently repped by UTA and Beth Rosner Management.

Official details on the plot are still under wraps but it is said the film will feature a plot similar to the gaming experience players were offered in the arcade game.

In the game, players would control giant monsters including a giant ape, a giant wolf, and a giant lizard, taking players around the United States as they destroyed key landmarks while trying to survive an onslaught from military forces.

Johnson is set to play an animal-loving hero who is the world’s only hope. In addition to Johnson, Lacy, and Hill, Oscar-nominated actress Naomie Harris is attached to star as a geneticist with a moral streak.

Rampage will be helmed by Peyton with Beau Flynn producing — the duo behind San Andreas and Journey 2: The Mystery Island.

John Rickard is set to produce the film under the Wrigley Pictures Banner with Hiriam Garcia producing under Seven Bucks Productions. Peyton will also produce the film under ASAP Entertainment.

Johnson will serve as executive producer along with Dany Garcia, Marcus Viscidi, and Jeff Fierson.Wendy Jacobson of FlynnPictureCo will co-produce.

Rampage is currently slated to hit theaters April 20, 2018.
