The production of James Bond 25 has been rather maligned as of late after the abrupt exit of the previous director Danny Boyle and his creative team and the subsequent delay of the movie.
However, the legendary spy rebounded this week after Cary Fukunaga was announced as the films director. And fans couldn’t be more excited. Citing the director’s previous work on Beasts of No Nation and True Detective the Bond fandom at large had confidence that Fukunaga’s gritty, character driven directorial talents would be well suited for Craig’s incarnation of Bond.
Fukunaga, in an interview with ET Canada is equally enthused. When asked if he is feeling knowing that he will be directing Daniel Craig as James Bond, he responded by saying that he was excited and honored. The Tweet that contains the interview is embedded below.
How do you feel about Fukunaga being tapped to direct Bond? How do you think he will leave his directorial stamp on the franchise? Sound off in the comments below!
