‘Bond 25’ Crew Member Injured After Controlled Explosion On Set

In an official statement, it was announced a member of the Bond 25 suffered minor injuries following a controlled explosion on set.

The incident occurred at London’s Pinewood Studios during the filming of a controlled explosion for a scene in the upcoming Bond 25. The explosion caused damage to the exterior of the Bond 25 stage and while no one on set was injured, a crew member outside of the stage sustained a minor injury.

This marks the second time a member of the Bond 25 team has sustained an injury during production. Daniel Craig, who stars as 007, suffered a leg injury during filming that required minor surgery and temporarily suspended production. Filming for Bond 25 has since resumed while Daniel Craig recovers.

Bond 25 is set to be Daniel Craig’s final outing as James Bond after having played the character since 2006’s Casino Royale.

Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica.  His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga from a script written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, the 25th James Bond stars Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Rory Kinnear, Léa Seydoux, Rory Kinnear, Ben Whishaw and Jeffrey Wright, Ana de Armas, Dali Benssalah, David Dencik, Lashana Lynch, Billy Magnussen and Rami Malek.

James Bond 25 is scheduled to be released in theaters on 8, April 2020.
