The Next James Bond Film Is Definitely Not Titled ‘Shatterhand’

The official James Bond Instagram account seems to have confirmed the next 007 film will not be titled “Shatterhand.”

When the working title for the 25th James Bond film was revealed, fans suspected it was hinting at the return of a classic 007 foe and could potentially end up being the official name of the movie. However, the official Instagram account for the James Bond franchise shared a photo of a fan-created “Shatterhand” logo by India Grace that was signed by film series producer Barbara Broccoli. With her signature, Broccoli added the words “It’s not” with an arrow pointing at the “Shatterhand” logo, indicating that this will not be the official title for 007’s next cinematic adventure.

Details on the project are currently unknown, though it is set to be Daniel Craig’s final outing as 007 after having played the character in Casino RoyaleQuantum of SolaceSkyfall, and Spectre.

Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, the 25th James Bond film is currently eyeing Bohemian Rhapsody star Rami Malek for the main villain role and Black Panther star Lupita Nyong’o to play the new Bond Girl. Production is expected to begin this April at Pinewood Studios.

James Bond 25 is scheduled to be released in theaters on 8, April 2020.
